GENEWIZ to Introduce GeoMx™ Digital Spatial Profiler Service at ASHG 2019

Will Co-Sponsor Protein/Gene Expression Profiling Grant with NanoString®

South Plainfield, NJ and Houston, TX (ASHG 2019, Booth #1403) — Oct 16, 2019 – Leading global genomics service provider, GENEWIZ, a Azenta Life Sciences Company, today announced at the American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) Conference that it will begin offering early access to morphological gene and protein expression analysis using NanoString’s GeoMx™ Digital Spatial Profiler (DSP).

The first platform to provide high-plex and high-throughput spatial profiling of RNA or protein from a single FFPE section, the GeoMx DSP enables researchers to morphologically dissect the complexity of heterogeneous tissues, thus facilitating the discovery of novel biomarkers. The GeoMx DSP utilizes predesigned or custom panels, enabling quantification of up to 96 proteins and over 1,000 RNA molecules on FFPE tissues. A complete solution, the GeoMx DSP provides scientists and researchers with optimized workflows, off-the-shelf validated assays, and integrated data analysis software.

To encourage and facilitate this research, GENEWIZ and NanoString will be sponsoring a new grant program providing the winner with protein/gene expression profiling for up to four FFPE samples using any of the commercially available GeoMx assays. Entry information as well as contest terms and conditions can be found at web.genewiz.com/DSP-grant.

“GENEWIZ is proud to be working with NanoString to provide gene and protein expression analysis using the GeoMx Digital Spatial Profiler. This exciting new technology, paired with GENEWIZ’s expertise in genomics, will provide researchers with a wealth of data on multiple regions of interest, all from a single FFPE slide,” remarked Dr. Ginger Zhou, Vice President, Global Next Generation Sequencing for GENEWIZ. “GENEWIZ is committed to driving new technologies and we believe that this collaboration will streamline research, allowing scientists to make their discoveries faster than ever before,” she added.

Learn more about this collaboration by visiting GENEWIZ at booth #1403 at the American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) Conference, taking place October 15-19 in Houston, TX. A live demo of the GeoMx Digital Spatial Profiler software followed by a Q&A session will be presented at the GENEWIZ booth on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 2PM CT.
