Be the best in the world and the best for the world.

"The one truth that I keep coming back to is that having a positive impact on others will continue to make my life and work meaningful as well as successful." - Amy Liao, President, GENEWIZ an Azenta Life Sciences Company

That vision for the future begins with us.

GENEWIZ is proud to be an active member of our local communities and a provider of quality services that enable our customers to advance scientific discoveries. We hope to leave the world that we operate in a better place than it was.

Throughout the year, GENEWIZ actively participates in community events and gives to organizations that make a positive impact throughout the world.

2019 Highlights

April 2019 – Earth Day

In celebration of Earth Day, we challenged ourselves to ditch plastic water bottles and replace them with re-usable, BPA-free water bottles. We encouraged our team members to think of other ways to be greener for the environment. GENEWIZ continues to work on ways to help reduce our carbon footprint.

April 2019 – Take Our Daughters & Sons to Work Day

This April, GENEWIZ took part in “Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day” to help give children a glimpse into the working world. Employees in various departments volunteered to provide children with some insight into the type of work performed GENEWIZ. With discussions and hands-on activities, the children were able to grow their knowledge of the professional world.

July 2019 – Interns Volunteered at Ronald McDonald House Charities in New Brunswick

On July 12th and 19th, our interns spent the afternoon taking care of various tasks around the House, gardening, cleaning & sanitizing, cooking, and helped the staff make the experience of these families a little more comfortable.

August 2019 – “Stuff the Bus” School Supply Drive

As part of our commitment to be greener for the environment, we challenged ourselves to ditch plastic bags for reusable ones in celebration of Earth Day. Food Drive

At GENEWIZ, we know that making a positive global impact starts at the local level. Trick-or-Suite

In late October, GENEWIZ teamed up with Embassy Suites for their annual “Trick-or-Suite” event. The hotel closed off two floors to make room for GENEWIZ and other local companies to decorate suites and turn them into magical places for children with disabilities to safely trick-or-treat. GENEWIZ team members created five themed rooms, including Monsters Inc., outer space, and Harry Potter, giving the kids an exciting Halloween experience!

Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Bake Sale

This November, GENEWIZ raised funds and awareness for leukemia & lymphoma patients in the sweetest way possible: a bake sale! Employees contributed a variety of treats to make this event possible, and many more opted to donate money to show their support. All proceeds went towards the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to help in their fight against blood cancer.

Season of Caring

In December, GENEWIZ teamed up with United Way of Greater Union County for its “Season of Caring” initiative. Our team worked together to grant the holiday wishes of families in need to make their holidays a little brighter with a variety of gifts.
