1. Go to Register and create a user account. This takes about 1-2 minutes.
2. Obtain a valid Purchase Order number from your Purchasing department or use a valid credit card.
3. Login to your user account to place your sequencing order.  You can use the online form or upload an Excel order form.
4. Choose from our three DNA sequencing service types: Pre-Mixed, Pre-Defined, and Custom.
   • Pre-Mixed - This is the most economical choice. Submit template and your primer in the same tube according to our submission guidelines.  You may also use a free GENEWIZ Universal Primer in this service.
   • Pre-Defined - Submit template and your primer in separate tubes according to our submission guidelines.  GENEWIZ will mix the template and primer for an additional charge, in most cases.
   • Custom - Useful when you want us to determine the concentration of your template and prepare your samples according to our submission guidelines.  Choose this option also if you want to sequence directly from bacterial clones (glycerol stock or colonies), phage with circular genome, and BAC DNA.
5. Prepare your samples according to our Sample Submission Guidelines. If you have <48 samples, please use 0.2 ml, 8-strip PCR tubes.  If you have ≥48 samples, you can get a discount by using a 96-well PCR plate as indicated in the Tubes and Plates Tab of the Sample Submission Guidelines. Please use 8-strip caps for your tubes or wells, and also wrap them with parafilm. This is the best way to keep your samples from drying or cross-contaminating during shipment.  
6. Print a copy of your order receipt and send it with your samples.

Shipping Instructions

• GENEWIZ Drop Box or Fridge - Place your samples and a copy of your order form in a GENEWIZ drop box or fridge before the cut-off time. Call 1-877-436-3949 for your nearest GENEWIZ drop-off location.
• GENEWIZ Courier Service - Request for courier pickup if available at your location. Please call 1-877-436-3949 to find out if a GENEWIZ courier picks up at your site. For San Diego customers within the pickup zone, specify the pickup location when placing your order. Note that GENEWIZ couriers pick up room temperature samples only.
• If a drop box or courier is not available at your site, ship your samples via overnight delivery service (FedEx if possible) to us at the following location:

For Same Day DNA Sequencing: Select Same Day from the first page of the online form, and ship samples Standard Overnight. Same Day DNA sequencing results are reported within 7 hours after sample receipt at GENEWIZ, by 5:00 PM Eastern. A small additional charge applies to Same Day Service; many customers report that this service significantly accelerates their research progress.  Note that customers using our San Diego and Maryland Labs enjoy overnight service.  Same Day is not an option for customers using those facilities.

Hairpin, RNAi (shRNA), and GC-Rich Template: Our proprietary protocols are highly successful with these difficult-to-sequence structures. Select an appropriate protocol from from the "Special Request" column in the online sequencing order form.

Getting Results: Your DNA sequencing results are available 24/7 via your account at www.genewiz.com. You will receive an email when your results are ready.
