Glycerol stock of your prep culture
Starting materials can be DNA (transformation charges apply), bacterial colony
or glycerol stock. GENEWIZ provides DH5a and TOP10 as standard host
strains for DNA preparations. The default choice is DH5a. If your DNA requires
special hosts, please provide bacterial colony or glycerol stock as starting
material. Please download a
DNA Preparation Order Form and email your order to
dnaseq@genewiz.com. Also remember to print out a hard copy
of the order form to send in with your samples.
DNA can be shipped at room temperature. Bacterial colonies can be shipped on ice or at room temperature. Glycerol stock should be shipped on dry ice. Please contact us at dnaseq@genewiz.com for additional shipping instructions.
Turnaround time is 2-3 business days if starting from bacterial
colonies or glycerol stocks, 3-4 days if starting from plasmid DNA or glycerol stocks. Additional
time is needed for large orders and optional services. GENEWIZ Customer Support
is always available to discuss your project with you.
**GENEWIZ will use an endo-free kit in the prep process; all
plastics/tubes used in the prep are brand-new and endo-toxin free. GENEWIZ does
not quantify the endotoxin level in the final product and the preps are
delivered as is.
