DNA Preparation Services are convenient for researchers when time pressures in the laboratory are great or quantities are large. We offer a full spectrum of DNA preparation services.

Starting material can be DNA (transformation charges apply), bacterial colony or glycerol stock.
- DNA - 100 ng in water or TE
- Bacterial Colony - Fresh colonies (<3 days old)
- Glycerol Stock - 200 µl frozen stock
GENEWIZ provides DH5α and TOP10 as standard host strains for DNA preparations. The default choice is DH5α. If your DNA requires special hosts, please provide bacterial colony or glycerol stock as starting material.
How To Order
Place Plasmid DNA Preparation orders through your on-line account or create one. Please include a hard copy of the order receipt with your samples.
DNA can be shipped at room temperature. Bacterial colonies can be shipped on ice or at room temperature. Glycerol stock should be shipped on dry ice. Please contact us at mb@genewiz.com for additional shipping instructions.
Turnaround time is 2-3 business days if starting from bacterial
colonies, 3-4 days if starting from plasmid DNA or glycerol stocks. Additional
time is needed for large orders and optional services. GENEWIZ Customer Support
is always available to discuss your project with you.
**GENEWIZ will use an endo-free kit in the prep process; all
plastics/tubes used in the prep are brand-new and endo-toxin free. GENEWIZ does
not quantify the endotoxin level in the final product and the preps are
delivered as is.
