GENEWIZ, Inc. has
planned a series of events and announcements to celebrate its 10th Anniversary
of providing DNA sequencing, molecular biology and genomic services to academic,
pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and government researchers. The company was
co-founded in 1999 by Steve Sun, PhD and Amy Liao, PhD, themselves former
researchers, in 200 square feet of sub-leased space in Long Island, NY. Today
GENEWIZ, with headquarters in South Plainfield, NJ, is the leading commercial
provider of Sanger DNA sequencing services for researchers in the United States.
The company has expanded to four laboratory locations, servicing domestic and
international scientists.

The company will hold a 10th Anniversary dinner and celebration on Oct. 1 for
employees and invited guests. An on-line promotion for customers is planned for
10 days in August. Announcements of new services and laboratories will also be
made in the coming months.
