Getting Started: GENEWIZ DNA Sequencing Services

1. Go to http://www.genewiz.com and set up a user account. (This takes 2-3 minutes.)
2. Obtain a valid Purchase Order number from your Purchasing department or use credit card.
3. Login to your user account and place your sequencing order online.
4. GENEWIZ offers three Service Types: Pre-Mixed, Pre-Defined, and Custom.
   • Choose "Pre-Mixed " if you have adjusted your sample concentration following our guidelines, and have either already added your sequencing primers or requested one of the universal primers provided by GENEWIZ free of charge.
   • Choose "Pre-Defined " if you have adjusted your sample concentration following our guidelines, but are supplying your primer in a separate tube for GENEWIZ to add (additional charge may apply).
   • Choose "Custom" if you want GENEWIZ to adjust your sample concentration and add your sequencing primers (additional charge may apply)
5. If sequencing from bacteria (glycerol stock or colonies on an agar plate) or phage supernatant, choose "Custom" and select the right "Template Type" from the drop down menu.
6. Prepare your samples for submission in 0.2 ml, 8-strip PCR tubes, one sample per tube or use a 96-well plate as indicated below. 
7. Print out 2 copies of the order summary page and send one along with your samples to us via FedEx.

For submission in 96-well plate, please use a column-loading scheme:

For Standard DNA Sequencing: ship your samples standard over night. Results are reported the day after samples are received - guaranteed.

For Same Day DNA Sequencing: Select Same Day from the drop down menu on the first page of the web order form, and ship your samples standard over night. Same Day DNA sequencing results are reported within 7 hours after sample receipt in our lab, by 5:00 PM Eastern. A small additional charge applies to Same Day Service; many customers report that this service significantly accelerates their research progress.

RNAi (shRNA) and GC-Rich: Our proprietary protocol is highly successful with these difficult-to-sequence structures. Select these options from the "Special Request" dropdown menu.

Getting Results: Your DNA sequencing results are available on-line via your account in our customized LIMS system, 24/7, at www.genewiz.com. An email will be sent indicating that your results are ready.
